GW_Simulations - 23/9/2007 9:22 AMIs there a video feed?
DaveS - 21/9/2007 5:45 PMNASA TV never covers the rollover unless it just happen to occur during the daily ISS commentary hour that runs from 11 am to 12 pm Eastern time Monday-Friday. The best we can hope for is that some good VAB or other facility camera shows up either here: http://webcams.ksc.nasa.gov/ImgCap/default.htm or here: http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/shuttle/countdown/video/
Chris Bergin - 23/9/2007 11:05 AMShe's not left the OPF yet. Won't be for a while, is the latest I'm hearing. They'll try around midday. Weather is the problem.
Chris Bergin - 23/9/2007 5:18 PMArmageddon flashback!"You're the first civilians to see her. She and her sister ship out at Vandenberg (yeah right) are in launch preps. We call her the X-71".

Lee Jay - 23/9/2007 6:18 PMI looked back at the 118 rollover thread, and it took 50 minutes from first motion to transfer isle. I guess they must be able to speed things up when weather is threatening.
shuttlefan - 23/9/2007 6:46 PMSo will they attach the sling this afternoon and begin the lift tonite or will there be a 24-hour delay now that they got into the VAB so much later than planned today?
Oberon_Command - 23/9/2007 1:39 PMIs that a plasma burn just aft of the crew cabin?
Chris Bergin - 23/9/2007 11:30 PMI think that's about it for tightening the nuts and bolts on the crane...
shuttlefan - 24/9/2007 1:33 AMSo will they lift it all the way over the transom and onto the MLP tonite or do they plan to leave it dangling overnight?

pad rat - 24/9/2007 12:51 PMAfter rotating the vehicle to a vertical attitude and removing the aft spreader beam from the lifting fixture, the crane rotates the orbiter 45 degrees. There are marks on the floor to assist this. See photo - the gap in the ironwork behind the orbiter is the path to the high bay.
pad rat - 24/9/2007 1:05 PMThe crane hook rotates under control of the crane operator.

Joffan - 26/9/2007 4:21 PMTo the new article, "the schedule... has only the one day of contingency remaining in its pre-launch flow"? That is amazing work; not only did the guys pick up the week on the landing strut but managed to create a day's contingency? Wow.

DaveS - 26/9/2007 8:31 AMNo. Prior to the RHMLG work, they had 5 days of contingency time. The 4-day delay to rollover, left them with only one day left of contingency time.
Chandonn - 28/9/2007 12:51 AMWasn't the Payload Canister supposed to roll out to LC-39A today?
