There will be only one Sea Launch mission in 2014: in April with Eutelsat 3B.

I was told that there will not be Sea Launch missions in 2015.

And undisclosed customer for launch in 2016 is:

Peter B. de Selding ‏@pbdes
Sea Launch, in rare double mission, to launch AngolaSat (Angola comsat) and Energia 100 (Russian bdband) sats together in 1H 2016.

AFAIK the name of the satellite is "AngoSat", not "AngolaSat"

2 missions in 3 years won't cover the $50M annual fixed cost for those ships...

Expect Sea Launch to file for another bankruptcy shortly (this time chapter 7)  :(

"Sea Launch is in negotiations with an undisclosed customer for a launch in late 2014 to follow the Eutelsat 3B mission. Sea Launch's suppliers promise to deliver a rocket in time for a launch opportunity before the end of the year, Gugkaev said.

"We have a slot available," Gugkaev said. "We have a white tail for the end of this year, so we are just waiting for some confirmation from one of our customers."

Sea Launch has a preliminary agreement with EchoStar Corp.'s satellite subsidiary for launch of a direct broadcasting payload in 2015"

Why, per the schedule above, are they launching the same satellite twice?

EUTELSAT 3B Mission Status Update
March 31, 2014

During the final “dry” roll-out phase of integrated launch vehicle (ILV) processing at Home Port in support of the EUTELSAT 3B mission, a discrepancy in the nominal movement of the cable-mast and the Zenit-2S LV lateral plate occurred while installing the ILV onto the launch pad. This caused mechanical damage to the lateral plate housing located on the inter-stage truss of the LV.  Resolution of this condition will result in a delay to the planned April 15, 2014 launch date.

A decision was made to de-mate the Payload Unit and Block-DM-SL onboard the Sea Launch Commander to resolve the issue, establish the root cause and perform additional checks of the interface between the launch vehicle and ground support equipment connectors.

Once the above tasks have been completed, Sea Launch will announce an updated schedule and launch day for EUTELSAT 3B.

The EUTELSAT 3B satellite was not powered on during the operation on the launch vehicle and was unaffected. It remains in a safe configuration.

i think this one may either be a launch on need payload and/or a reassignment to Zenit-3SL to speed it up.

What would be the point in basing the Sea Launch platform at the Crimea? The Russian far east coast makes much more sense, as the platform has to travel to the equator for launch..

Doesn't Boeing makes the fairing and abstract the vehicle interface so it has no ITAR issues? Don't they use TDRS for range, and thus depend on being an US company?
I guess they could adapt the Land Launch fairing, and switch to Lutch, but I believe the Lutch data hole is exactly on the easter Pacific.
