Where you get those webcam shots from? Is it some reserved feed?
http://webcams.ksc.nasa.gov/
I had missed that. Great! Thanks.

So will the SCA fly back to California or somewhere else?
Yes, the SCA (NASA 905) will get refueled and fly back to its base at Dryden ready for next time (if needed).

Flightaware does not show any recent flights for NASA905 prior to the Edwards - Amarillo hop. Conclusion - it was already at Dryden when the shuttle landed and didn't arrive from somewhere else so I would think it is probably based there. Jim am I missing something?

Some good SCA info at thses links
http://www.nasa.gov/returntoflight/crew/ferryflight.htmlhttp://www1.dfrc.nasa.gov/Gallery/Photo/SCA/HTML/ED06-0202-076.htmlQuote from Wikipedia regarding the home base of the 2 SCA's - not sure how true this is.
"The two aircraft are functionally identical, although N911NA has five upper-deck windows on each side, while N905NA only has two. N905NA is depicted in both the photograph and the diagram on this page.
One Shuttle Carrier currently resides at the Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base, California (likely N911NA). The other Shuttle Carrier is located at Pinal Airpark in Arizona (KMZJ) (likely N905NA)."

Good news, they've finally freed her and she's on the way back to the OPF at 3:15pm Eastern (being towed back obviously).

Looks like wikipedia had it opposite. 905 is shown at Dryden on Google earth and 911 is shown at Pinal Air Park.
Since Pinal is a 'boneyard' it makes sense that the 'flight-ready storaged' SCA is at Pinal. Would like to post the KMZ's but not sure how to do attachements on this list.

Simply just make sure the "Attach a file after posting" checkbox is checked. Then simply browse for the file files and press submit.

Actualy this isnt quite accurate. The aircraft labled as N911NA is not an SCA. the end plate fins on the horizontal stabalizer would be conspicous in slightly oblique view. Notice that you can see the tailcone (APU) offset from the vertical stabalizer so the view isn't streight down.
In the photo of Dryden you can actually see booth SCAs one is at the ramp near the NASA hanger and the other is lined up with the MDD at the north end of the field.
Of course, since this is Google Earth, this proves nothing. GE is made up of thosands of photos taken at different times and montoged together. I have seen examples of seing the same thing in 2 different places when I personally knoew ther is only one of them in existence.

Not sure if Atlantis have even been soaked. I can't find any notes of rain at the SLF during the time she was out there.
