Yes, that is the normal altitude for ferry flights and that is why weather is such an issue because they are flying at the altitude of typical buildups and must steer around them.

What do all of those abreviations stand for?

Next stop is planned for Rick Husband Amarillo Intl. in TX. And NASA TV will not broadcast that as I doubt there's any good long-range tracking cameras on a commercial airport.
