Now we are 3 hours to opp. 1 deorbit burn.
Soon we will have GO/NO GO poll for payload bay doors closing.

Sounds like they may be expecting a waveoff and at least one more day in orbit...

Payload deac is complete. Crew wants to be notified when Houston thinks it it's a good time to perform the RAD BYPASS and FES CHECKOUT.

Crew given a "GO" to proceed with RAD BYPASS and FES CHECKOUT. Obviously the payload bay door closing has been delayed a bit.

Lindsey told to land his T-38 and fly in the STA.
Why? Because it is more comfortable?

Lindsey has landed his T-38 and is jumping into the STA (not a bad job!)

Because the STA simulates orbiter approaches better.

No. The T-38 cannot simulate the orbiter's approach, which the STA can(hence Shuttle Training Aircraft).

Does Lindsey fly a full HAC (entering at ~45k feet), or just the final approach (~14k feet, a guess)? I would believe that flying complete HACs would be quite time consuming.. (altough I'm not sure how fast you can make that Gulfstream climb).

And that's a clear "NO-GO".

2 hours to opp. 1 deorbit burn. Atlantis is now passing over Poland & Central Europe - she will fly over there only one time more before her landing.
