No Ku so I cant see what is happening live.
But from setup they were supposed to translate to Z1 then up to P6. There Steve goes up to the Canister and pat starts working on getting stuff setup to climb onto the CanadaArm2.
This should be inwork now.

It is simple why the KU coverage is bad, look at Zach's attitude map posted above, the KU antenna is pointing through station solar wings and structure and it cannot make a high speed connection in its current attitude, as the station gets bigger this problem gets worse, also the KU system cannot be pointed where the EVA crew is working (top of P6 right now) so the EVA crew does not get dangerous amounts of radiation from the KU beam. These are things we have to consider when covering these missions.

As I keep saying, don't expect KU for about 10 - 15 more minutes, sunrise in 9 minutes.

And you are right. Dang you sure know how to do these Ku predictions!.

Let me put the KU coverage like this, currently the complex is traveling south and west of TDRS-West which is located over the equator, when the complex starts to travel northward under the TDRS-West and eastward, KU coverage will improve, now we have S band still video, a good precursor to KU is coming, sunrise in 4 minutes.

Thanks Zach, I just have been following these STS missions for the past 30 years, and the past 10 years on the web with satellite tracking, so these KU predicts become predictable. I appreciate your compliments and your coverage, hope everyone else does too!

Sunrise now, this day pass will last for 57 minutes, best KU coverage from around now until 3:30 PM EDT (7:30 PM GMT) enjoy it while we have it, as I said the coverage on TDRS-East after 3:30 PM EDT looks VERY poor due to the station's angle to the TDRS then.
