I'd just like to express my appreciation for the excellent commentary you've given us today, Zachstar. Great work.
Hey thanks for that!
Just want to insure we have some great archives to look back on as we await the launch of some shuttle or Ares flight.

Shuttle on DAP. However they are on verniers so it will be a SLOW process.
Hopefully they can get it back on CMG for good soon enough.
Question: If it takes longer or they have another attitude loss before the crew is scheduled to rest. Will they leave it on Atlantis DAP overnight? Also will that eat up alot more fuel?

The verniers are pretty good at just sipping propellent. There should be more than enough RCS propellent even if this condition persists. The only detriment may be cancelling the full flyaround after undocking.

Shuttle DAP off for a few seconds then back on, as planned.
They are going to have Ku under Analog later for the playback.

They will have a chance to finish it soon enough.

If I heard right then it seems the shuttle is back in control.
I guess they are only able to hold CMG control long enough to let the panels track the sun and charge the tired batteries.

Crew thanking ground.
The overnight attitude plan is as follows.
ISS is currently in control.
They report that the problem can sneak up again but they are pretty sure it wont.
If it happens, ALARM! and they will have to wake to turn on the DAP.
If it happened suddenly the DAP overnight propellant usage would have been.
80 pounds forward 60 pounds aft.
Crew going to rest now. BIG day tomorrow.
