This has been Range Requested for a too long now. Probably didn't help that Falcon 9 and Atlas V are on neighboring pads.

Getting closer to this "two on the same day on the same range" becoming a reality, however. They are going to need it before long with all these rockets!

Update on #Falcon9 #Hispasat launch: SpaceX did request early Thursday for the range but has not yet been approved, according to Tim Dunn, NASA launch director. Mentioned during #GOESS pre-launch conference.

Cross-post from the Iridium Next Flight 5 thread:

@IridiumBoss approximately what time will Iridium 5 launch at? Close to sunset/sunrise or no?

Matt Desch:
7:20am pst.  That’s about 25 minutes after sunrise.  Hard to terrorize Southern California that way, but we’ll do our best...

Dark Energy:
It is PST or PDT? I think you change the clocks on the 11th there in America, right?

Matt Desch:
How ‘bout we do it this way?:  14:19:49 UTC

That is 7:20am PDT
