Did anybody here understand, how SpaceX plans to recover the second stage? I mean: there has to be a reentry first, doesn't it? Do they have a heat shield or something, didn't see any of thin on their site.

I haven't seen any details on how SpaceX plans to do Falcon 9 second stage re-entry, besides an eventual parachute.  Could the empty tank structure have a low enough density that it could survive the atmospheric heating and stresses?  Maybe with the help of a ballute?   Or with enough fuel margin to deaccellerate significantly?  Anyone know?
