when will the offical countdown clock start?
Tomorrow night at 8:30pm EDT is the call-to-stations and the official countdown begins at 9:00pm EDT. Countdown is started at T-minus 43 hours and it includes about 28 hours of built in holds.
Here is a list of countdown activities, by Bill Harwood (it's quite helpful):

What are some radio stations that broadcast coverage of the launch in Titusville? I know this has been written somewhere before but I can't find it now. Thanks!

There are a couple of AM stations that broadcast coverage with commentary by former space journalist Jim Banke, but I'm sure that many other stations will be covering the launch in the booth with NASA TV commentary. I don't know any numbers offhand, maybe someone else can help there. If you have a scanner though, 146.9400 will have NASA TV.

Don't forget there is a thread dedicated solely for weather, which enables you to keep weather discussions out of the launch update thread...

They said they have no concerns at this time, with the RCC panel on Atlantis.

Steve Payne said the RCC should not be a problem and has already been checked with thermography. That is good news to hear.

The L-2 Day MMT will decide that, and not before.
However, always nice to have the info confirmed, as we're the only site to have run the news, and more importantly that they are confident it won't be a problem.

Also, some guys working in the white room currently.

What is the monitor in the top right of camera view five? (21.32%) Does it have something to do with the air in the white room or inside the shuttle itself?
