A pretty smooth rollout indeed...
Very smooth -- that looked a lot faster than in the past, what , four years?

Well, apart from the fairly obvious white patch I've just seen

Beanie Cap retracted
Why?

The beanie cap is retracted now as it is not needed for pre-launch processing, it was extended just for fit checks and to check out that its GSE (ground support equipment) is operational (swing arm motors, hinge motors for raising and lowering the vent hood). The orbiter access arm and the hydrogen vent arm (at the back of the ET Intertank) will remain extended until the appropriate times in the countdown when they are removed. Here are some images of the hail repair sites during the rollout this morning, these are from the KSC Media site:

Are the repairs likely to change color now that they are exposed to UV?

The only big change is that big white spot of new foam on the left side of the LO2 tank. It'll sure make the tank look different on launch day when there is a big yellow smudge.
Even the new tanks, the foam looks a yellow rust color. I also saw in the video clips of the ET repair each time you see the spray of new foam, the color is yellow then turns white as it cures.

It's the LH2 vent arm. It is connected to umbilical port on backside of the ET.

Thanks for posting the photos guys. Started back at work a couple of weeks ago, so I missed all of todays events. I am hoping the launch is evening over here in the UK. I will be able to watch then. I hate work.
