It won't be long before its level full of his designs.

I'd put them out in the field and put a shuttle in their place.

With Rutan's SS1 hanging by the north side of the lobby and the Voyager hanging further back; I think it's impressive not only that of his his designs are in the Snithsonian's Air & Space, but even more that they displayed in the smae area.

They have Enterprise there at the Smithsonian, not hanging though from what I recall unless she has been moved elsewhere.  I think more impressive then having them both there is that SS1 is next to the X-1. That's a cool cat to be placed next to for sure :)

The Enterprise is near the worlds first privately developed space vehicle.  "Pegasus"

With that paint job folks will think the SS1 was from the same era as the X-1 until they read the signs.  Hopefully Rutan will try harder not to show his age with the detailing of the SS2.  ;)

I would rather that fancy ornithopter whick flew while flapping its wings with pistons be in the Smithsonian rahter than seeing it clogged up with Rutan designs. He holds up a sign "spaceship One, Gov't Zero" then has his ME-163 Komet placed in a Gov't run facility.

Real cute.

He's also done work for the Govt too, the sign was also given to him by a person in the crowd. As for it being like the Komet, hmmmmmmm interesting comparison. Minus the gun of course
