Thanks for posting these, as always.
If you read the interviews online it's obvious that they were conducted after STS 116, but the date given is November 3 of last year. :bleh:

Definitely - Thanks, John44. Your site is a very important reference for everyone who misses the 'live' videos, and also for archiving/reference over the "regular" PA/mass-media-driven sites who only post heavily-edited videos.

What where the "flares" coming from the tank as it was floating way? Is that just excess pressure being dumped. Almost looked like a thruster burn coming from the back of the ET (about where the LH2 intake valve would be)
Also noticed more of that SSME nozzle ice floating around.

Yep I saw one rather large piece that had the "fabric" look to it, bet it was just more of that nozzle ice. Hard to beleive that something that is around 2000F on the inside can be cold enough to make ice on the outside just a few inches away, but there you have it

Not sure which file(s) it is in here, but some of the video ran in the flight day highlights package...IIRC, the full downlink was sort of in-between the two runs of the launch engineering replays.

Here's a link on Bill Harwood's site:

without notice during shuttle missions.

As far as I saw, not today. You'll probably get some screen grabs if/when it is shown in the "live" flight day thread.

Problem is, a NASA-dedicated "All Hands" meeting isn't necessarily a 'press conference', but meant as a NASA-internal meeting (management/employees/contractors).
Not to imply that it shouldn't be available to the public at large at some point, but as an internal meeting, that doesn't necessarily mean it should be broadcast live around the world on public channels or the internet.

the video is the undocking showed by sequencial stills,
so it does look like it stops .. but it doesn't
stay with it a few more seconds ..

Not sure you missed anything -- I can't recall seeing shuttle flight day highlights for EOM (re-entry) days, which both of those were.

No Ku for live video or large video/picture file downloads, so there's not much of anything available for any kind of 'highlight' file.
