In 2010, I took an image of the Earth Radiation Budget Satellite (ERBS), carried to space by the Spaceshuttle Challenger (STS-41-G) deployed by mission specialist Sally Ride in 1984. ERBS reentered the Earth's atmosphere on January 8, 2023.

The satellite played an important role in the determination that the ozone layer was declining on a global scale.

Ten years after the image was taken, it was reprocessed in 2020 and since then it's just on my hard disk because lack of stage for this kind of images. Though, I'm sure there is an audience for stuff like this so the image finally ends here at NSF forum to get enjoyed by shuttle and other nerds.
