There's noises that MHI wants out of doing more ALOS earth observation work for JAXA, so it sounds like JAXA is doing something with NTT via Marble Visions as a substitute.

There is an associated rumor of multiple EO sats being ordered for this, with a preference for domestic manufacturers.
