Why would you plan on hobbling all your video recording assets for a first flight?

Clearly not a big issue for most people

I hope their employees get Christmas off now that they won’t launch in 2024. No reason to work them to the bone when a few days difference won’t matter. Well, it’ll matter to Limp, who no doubt had a bonus contingent on launching this year. “You might have to miss Christmas with your families, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make!”
While I don't excactly read these contracts, the US Government runs on fiscal years, and FY25 started on October 1st...even if it still doesn't have an approved budget.

Even though October is the fiscal year, money takes time to flow. Programs I’m involved in usually don’t get funds till February. New starts are planned to kick off when the money finally trickles down. And we usually get it in two slugs. Second in August. Then there is the ‘race’ to obligate it so your not seen holding a big chunk of money.Maybe different with non DoD orgs.So no idea what the contract says.

One week of 2024 left and still no static fire test. So it ain't happening.
