Apollo 14 -  Countdown/Launch/Orbit/TLI (Full Mission 1)

January 31st 1971 - The countdown from T-60 minutes to the end of the TLI burn -

Thanks to:
Stephen Slater
Johannes Kemppanen
The Channel Patrons - you really do make a difference!

Dedicated to Al, Ed and Stu

Audio is single channel until the final minutes of the
countdown when it switches to two-channel audio.
Right channel is PAO and left channel is the onboard DSE
tape.

I recommend following the dialogue on the Apollo
14 Flight Journal.

Apollo 14 - Transposition & Docking

After TLI the crew separate from the third stage of the Saturn V and turn around to dock with the Lunar Module Antares. Things do not go according to plan!

Audio is 2 track with PAO in one channel and the DSE tape recorded onboard in the other.

Apollo 14 - SIV-B Ejection/TV/Sleep Full Mission 3)

Quote
Aug 25, 2024
Day 1 continues with the late ejection of the S-IVB and the crew trying to get back onto their flightplan. An unscheduled TV broadcast is required so mission control can take a look at the probe and drogue which, it was thought, had caused the docking issues a dew hours earlier. Afterwards, the crew try to get the Passive Thermal Control (PTC) started but have to redo it. Crew sleep checklist is completed and the PAO narrates through the night. The video ends at the point that the crew are waking up for Day 2.
