Today in the assembly and test building of the 254th site of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the solar batteries of the Progress MS-28 cargo spacecraft were checked before launch to the International Space Station.

Specialists of S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (part of Roscosmos State Corporation) have performed normal deployment of the ship's photocell sections and irradiated them with powerful lights to control the efficiency of conversion of light energy into electrical energy.

In addition, the preparation of cargo and equipment to be delivered to the ISS continues.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progress MS-28 cargo spacecraft from the 31st site of Baikonur Cosmodrome is scheduled for August 15.
