GSat-7 and INSAT-3D are scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2013. Both satellites will be launched by Ariane 5 launchers.

Ariane-5 VA212: ABS-2 & Azerspace-1 set for 6 February 2013

Ariane-5 ECA flight with designation VA212 is scheduled for 6 February 2013. Ariane-5 is poised to launch ABS 2 and AZERSPACE 1 satellites for Asian and Azerbaijani operators.

http://www.satlaunch.net/2012/10/ariane-5-va212-abs-2-azerspace-1-set.html

I was informed that ABS-2 slips to mid-2013. Another satellite will be assigned for VA212.

IMHO Amazonas-3 is suitable for early 2013 launch.

It is mistake, Rui. Actually it is Fregat No. 1020. Both Soyuz-ST-A rockets had Fregat upper stages, not Fregat-MT upper stages.

Echostar and Arianespace sign new satellite launch services contract

Companies continue successful launch collaboration

Evry, France and Englewood, Colorado – November 26, 2012

EchoStar Corp. (NASDAQ: SATS) and Arianespace, SA, have reached an agreement to launch multiple new satellites over a multi-year period from Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana. The new contract will provide EchoStar with launch capacity and flexibility for its industry-leading satellite program.

"In July, EchoStar’s wholly owned subsidiary, Hughes completed the successful launch of EchoStar XVII with Arianespace, giving us confidence in Arianespace’s ability to execute on future launches," said Anders Johnson, president of EchoStar Satellite Services. “The Ariane 5 vehicle has been a reliable, flight-proven launch system. We look forward to relying on Ariane 5 to deliver on-time success in the execution of our near term expansion programs."

CNES site for mission and a CNES briefing clearly state Fregat-M, is this an error on their site or is this correct? I have also seen it mentioned on other sites.

The company’s 2013 scheduling calls for 11 missions from the Spaceport – six heavy-lift Ariane 5 launches, four medium-lift Soyuz flights and one with the light-lift Vega – along with a Soyuz liftoff at Kazakhstan’s Baikonur Cosmodrome, operated under the responsibility of Arianespace’s Euro-Russian Starsem subsidiary.

GSAT-7, a dedicated satellite for the Navy, is also set to be launched around May on a European Ariane rocket. Two other larger satellites, INSAT-3D and GSAT-10, will also use ‘procured’ or foreign launches on separate Ariane vehicles in the second half of this year.

As GSAT-10 was already launched last September, this is obviously a misprint. It would be interesting to know what is the third Indian satellite to be launched on Ariane (maybe GSAT-15?)
