So, I was just asked a question that I could not answer, so I'm going to forward the question here:
What does "41Ø1" on the pad camera mean? Obviously, the "41" would be SLC-41, but the "Ø1"? I had logical-sounding guesses, but I figure someone here would know the answer.
I would say it's just 4101 (0 with line to distinguish it from the letter O). You can see that on other cameras for example HLS5-12 (level 12 camera) that has no zero in it

First crewed flights are a rarity, so important to appreciate these when they happen. Crossing my fingers for a smooth ride to space this morning and Starliner officially joining Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Shuttle, and Crew Dragon in the lineage of American crewed space flight.

It looks like NASA finally fixed the issue with the 2-sample interleave on their high-def feed! (The NASA logo and the T-minus counter are nice and crisp.)

Excellent performance from Atlas as always. Now to see whether the capsule does its part.

FINALLY!
Godspeed to the crew going forward.
I'm happy for all the ULA folks who finally got to see the Atlas V carry humans to orbit. Something that could (and probably should have happened many, many years ago). And no, I'm not dissing Boeing here, more like all the politics at NASA in the 2000's and all that mumbo-jumbo about abort "black zones"...

Successful separation. Good target on orbital injection. Comms good.
Frankly, I'm relieved. Suni and Butch are heroes, IMNSHO.

No in cabin video during ascent, and none now while in orbit ?

Congratulations to NASA, ULA and Boeing for a good start to Boeing CFT.
Orbital Insertion Burn looks good.

No in cabin video during ascent, and none now while in orbit ?
It was announced a while back that for CFT, Starliner was not configured to send down live video. They'll have to wait until docking with the ISS.

Moving commentary over here at FutureSpaceTourist's encouragement:
Good cooling! Go for orbit ops.
Butch has another message: call KSC Crew Quarters and have them release Joe Acaba and James Branson from quarantine. Ground thinks Joe may not want to leave; Butch confirms that Joe has been dining on a lot of free bacon.

Just curious about something here:
If you look at the picture in this post:
https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=47978.msg2597339#msg2597339The visualization for the two RL10 plumes are so different, and obviously it's just a visualization but that begs the question, why would the visualization be different for the two engines? The visualization is fed by telemetry so was there something different about one engine?
(and no, not concern trolling, not suggesting that one engine was about to fail, just asking out of curiosity)
And congratulations to all around, glad to see them finally on their way and wishing them a safe trip to the ISS and back home.

Good NC burn reported - approximately 20 seconds in duration, orbit raised to 325 x 324 km. Spacecraft is now slewing around to point its tail at the sun for better charging on the solar arrays. Next burn is not for another 20+ hours.

Glad the ascent to orbit was successful, but I don’t have that relieved feeling. I’d rather wait until Starliner lands back on Earth.

Having some comms issues, Ground was not hearing the crew - they had the crew confirm they are hearing Ground by having them move one of the hand controllers, which showed up in telemetry. (Eventually they got it fixed.)
