Chris Bergin - 19/9/2007 1:06 PMAmazing progress on the repair. Writing an article now, but there may NOT be a launch delay. Target of Oct. 23 is being passed around the Shuttle management, but dependant on level of testing they require on the strut re-test. Rollover could happen in a few days. Strut being put back together with the wheels to be put back on etc. Not very technical, I know Memos and presentations on L2 and updating it live there. No contingency days left if they rollover on the 24th. STS-122 may be ok on that orginal December window.

uko - 20/9/2007 2:38 PMSo when can we expect the re-test decision?
shuttlefan - 20/9/2007 7:12 PMI seem to have forgotten---Is a criticality 1/1 component one whose failure would cause loss of crew and vehicle, with no redundancy?

The RHMLG can been seen in the background to the left in the photo with no wheels or tires.
