Has something ocurred at Pad-39-A? I'm looking on the KSC Live Video Feeds and it looks like a huge object made of concrete is laying on its side. I assume it's Pad A because I can see another pad with the MLP on it in the background.
I can't see anything unusual at the pad. Are you talking about the rectangular object with a circular hole in it? That's a camera. There's a second one right next to it.

Yes, and I didn't mean to spark any panic. Thanks Dave! :)

That's what I saw on the camera too. Wasn't sure what you meant at first!  :)

I posted this in the ISS status thread where I got the timeline, but no one seems to be watching that one.. wondered if someone here could comment on this.

What is the timing of PMA-2 relocation versus late inspection on STS-120?

I would assume that PMA-2 relocation only happens after STS-120 is cleared to return to Earth?

November 4 - Discovery (STS-120) undocking (from PMA-2)
November 5 - PMA-2 relocation (with SSRMS help) from Destiny to Harmony
November 6 - Discovery (STS-120) landing [Melroy, Zamka, Parazynski, Wilson, Wheelock, Nespoli, C.Anderson]
November 7 - Harmony+PMA-2 relocation (with SSRMS help) from the left port of Unity to Destiny

Let me check the L2 flight documentation, but I'm pretty sure that late inspection is before PMA-2 relocation.

This will probably be discussed during the preflight briefings on Friday...

Another question: per the current posted ISS Flight Schedule in the ISS Status thread, the Zarya array retraction has been moved into the post-STS-120 timeline.  As I understood it, STS-120 was to deploy 2 more of the ETCS radiators, which cannot be deployed until after the Zarya array retraction due to interference.  Does this mean that the radiator deployment is no longer a part of STS-120?

EDIT: typos, as usual...

That was in a presentation on L2 last week and they have added it, as of last Thursday.

Yep, and they are adding middeck payloads of extra EUM gloves etc. etc. It all goes into L2 and we write up some of it into articles. The change to the launch countdown was more interesting when the bulk of presentations came in, so ran that (we'd be writing over three articles a day if we wrote up what we get for L2).

However, to summarize: the EVA addition was in a 13 page presentation, sent to last Thursday's PRCB and approved.

We'll be starting the STS-120 special section on L2 this weekend, as we already have a load of content/presentations etc. Plus the MOD FRR is Monday.

When was the last time three missions where scheduled in four months, must be five years back?

Looks like this weekend will be a little tight, but it looks smooth from then onwards, assuming that the weather does not play a big part.. Was also wondering if there would be any upcoming conflicts from the range or iss traffic. Dawn should be gone shortly.. but what the other partners vehicles?

From the looks of things right now there is an Atlas V launch scheduled for November 7 from Cape Canaveral. After that, there's a Solar Beta cutout from December 13-29, a Soyuz Progress launch scheduled on December 23, an Atlas V launch scheduled on January 7, a Delta 4-H launch scheduled for January 25, a Delta 2 launch scheduled for February 5, and a Soyuz Progress launch on February 12.  All of these can change at a moment's notice, but now, this is the schedule. The Shuttle missions are scheduled for: STS-120 on October 23, STS-122 on Dec 6, and STS-123 on Feb 14.
