  At 1:45 on August 21, the Long March 4C carrier rocket was ignited and lifted off at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, and then sent the Gaofen 12-04 satellite into the predetermined orbit. The launch mission was a complete success.
  The Gaofen 12-04 satellite was developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is a microwave remote sensing satellite arranged by the National Science and Technology Major Special Project of the High-resolution Earth Observation System. It is mainly used for land censuses, urban planning, and land rights confirmation. , road network design, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation.

  JIUQUAN, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- China sent a new Earth observation satellite into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Monday.
  
  The satellite, Gaofen-12 04, was launched by a Long March-4C carrier rocket at 1:45 a.m. (Beijing Time) and has entered the planned orbit successfully.
  
  It will be used in a variety of fields, including land surveys, urban planning, road network design, crop yield estimation and disaster relief.
  
  The launch marks the 484th flight mission of the Long March series carrier rockets.
