It would seem the focus has shifted from ET SOFI to the SRB BTA.  Very interesting!!  I still think it's great how little we've heard about ET foam lately.  It seems they've taken care of the large foam debris concerns WRT the ET.  It also sounds like the BTA fix will be a quick and easy one, as they're implementing the modification five weeks prior to flight on Atlantis' boosters, which are already stacked and mated with ET-124 and OV.

I hear ya, Nathan!! It doesn't even sound like it will delay rollout to the pad Wed. 14th. Does anyone know whether or not the SRB mods. can be completed out on the pad?

Probably not.  It would be difficult to reach those areas on the SRBs at the pad.

No, but they'll get it done in the VAB - probably done already.
