So, if I have this right, the only remaining KSC landing opportunity will be Rev 203?  At what time?  I am in Florida and had my kids at the launch - we are hoping to hear the sonic booms to punctuate the mission.

The last possible landing time today is 8:36 PM EST at Edwards IF they do not decide to land at White Sands for some reason, however that is very unlikely. See a listing of all available deorbit times here by Bill Harwood of CBS News ( a great site for mission coverage): Edit, I have to say this is a great site for coverage too! Thanks everyone for your coverage!

What kind of television coverage will be offered if we do end up at NOR?
Yesterday Rob Navius reported the TV coverage from Northrup will be sparse.
One TV truck and some hand held cameras. And maybe a few words after landing, no press conference.

So much for the theme of today's wakeup music. "There's no place like White Sands New Mexico..." just doesn't have the same ring to it.

On the Master Alarm. It sounded during Block 18 of deorbit preps (from MER reports on L2): "The off scale low LO2 manifold pressure should be corrected automatically when DPS transitions."

He said it would be a multi camera mix that would follow Discovery from entering the HAC all the way down.

Although Rob said only brief statements would be made, I would guess there would end up being a small make shift media conference with the Local media that turn up.

I have absolute confidence in the ability of the crew to get Discovery back on the ground. That said, is there any information on what kind of training they would have done to prepare for alternate landing sites? Have they gone to Edwards or White Sands and trained there for landing/post-landing procedures? Or done it in the simulators?

Edwards note: Orbit 204 would have a sun-angle violation on runway 22.

It was stated in the press conference yesterday (by John Shannon, I believe) that the bulk of the pilots landing training actually takes place at White Sands.

I see people in blue jump suits quite often at Dryden; however, I have no idea what they are doing.

They still have the other end of the runway, though, I presume.

Yes, Mark from what i understand, as Dwight says-John Shannon said yesterday that the astronautds do the bulk of their STA training at White Sands---to practice not only at White Sands but the they use it to practice, simulate landing at KSC, as well as TAL sites--Moron, Zaragoza, etc--without actually going to those sites to practice--i picked this up from listening to Shannon yesterday
Three Engines onboard Endeavour have now throttled back to 2/3rds throttle to prepare the spacecraft to pass through the area of maximum dynamic pressure and to go supersonic
