Well he said Columbia earlier on

If I'm not mistaken that was Kyle Herring who said that.

Is there a shower in CTV? I know I'd be looking to "freshen up" after 2 weeks on board

Here's a video clip I shot from the SLF of the landing. I apologize for the "shadow" and the couple frames of pixelation. I picked a bad tape to shoot on. BUT.... enjoy anyway....

Nice work. Surprised there was no cheering.

It was a lot more. The forum doesn't count everyone for some reason.

get the feeling the crew are having a party in the CTV, and nobody invited the administrator

Any word on what's going on at WSSH? Will those folks get back for Christmas?

It was fun, definitely fun work. There actually was cheering, but there weren't a lot of people in the press viewing area. It was more like you'd expect in a non return-to-flight setting (i.e. a lot less press coverage). And of course it's hard to clap when you're holding a camera. I'm guessing the VIP/family area had a lot more clapping. Another thing, which is annoying is that the landing convoy was sitting on the road next to us and there's one really really loud truck that drowns out just about everything else.

Dunno about Griffin, but I understand Parsons has been known to stop in at King's Duck Inn down the road and belt one or two down after a long day lol. They also have good pizza.

I noticed there was a 30s-40s delay between live TV and NASA TV when I had both on at the same time. Is that intentional or due solely to the technology involved in transmitting the stream over the internet ?

I believe it's because of the need to run the live video through computers to encode them for the web then stream them on the web. There's a lag involved with all that. And speaking of the web... I think KSC's "web head" Dennis Armstrong is retiring at the end of the year, so hats of to him and the KSC web team for all the good work they do.
