No need for fan machine since winds are strong enough.

Go to move aft staircase in place for upper-level assessment.

Skinny - 22/12/2006  11:47 PM  Well done on a superb mission!  The HQ video of the landing (from the moment of deorbit burn) is available on L2 now.
Could it possibly be extended to include crew egress from the orbiter?

I switched the recorder on again. It will be a seperated download, but available right after everyone's out :-).. keep a look at the L2 thread

Downloading now, awesome. About 600meg video  :o  :)

Thanks to everyone that took part or read our coverage of 116.

Of course, it's not over, as we write up the post flight and head right into processing coverage.

To those of you that are heading out after this landing, have a great Christmas and tell everyone you know how brilliant this mission was, because this was NASA at work, in the sytle being the best of the best.

NASA, USA, LM, Boeing, and all involved with the Shuttle deserve a truck full of priase for this hugely successful mission.

With the crew transport vehicle (CTV), we don't actually see them leave the crew module anymore.  After a while, we should see them (minus Thomas Reiter) do at least a short walkaround of the vehicle and what has become a traditional message from the CDR.  On the one hand, the crew may spend some time out walking around -- the last few crews have...on the other hand, it's late, it's windy...

...guess we'll see in a little while.

Well done, Chris and the regular rocket scientists! We armchair adventurers have nothing but good times to report while following the STS-116 mission here. Looking forward to the post-flight reports, editted video, and more. Happy holidays to all!
