Wow, that short nozzle still looks wierd.....

stubby boi, I like it : ). Also the SpaceX webcast host mentioned it had 203,000 lbs of thrust, compared to that 220,000 lbs of the regular engine. Not sure if we had that exact number before.

Congratulations to SpaceX and NASA for another successful CRS launch!

Once the weather calmed down after the weekend it all went off without a hitch.

The SpaceX.com webcast was showing the NASA webcast with the usual SpaceX graphic overlay.
There is one SpaceX presenter in Hawthorne, Zach, but it’s really a NASA broadcast.  The pre-launch was so saccharine.  I’ve never before heard such a deadpan delivery of “That’s so exciting.”
The breathless enthusiasm and the video about Artemis I could do without but it’s nice to have the countdown audio included.
The NASA announcer in Houston is actually pretty informative, with lots of details we don't usually hear, in a relaxed presentation. (although she uses “mythical” instead of “conceptual” to describe the “Keep Out Sphere” around the ISS. Picky me!)
And the video on my large screen is gorgeous including even the nosecone deployment.

What kind of wastrels would dump a perfectly good booster in the ocean after just one use?

Falcon 9 headed uphill with Dragon for CRS-28

From the audio feed on the "Live Video from the International Space Station" broadcast:

Quote
Frank Rubio: "And, uh, any word on SpaceX 28?"

Flight controller: "Yes, sorry, of course. Nice, nominal launch, nose cone is open, and it's progressing along its trajectory just fine. Hopefully we'll see it there tomorrow morning."

Rubio: "Okay, great to hear it, thanks so much."

Boo to NASA TV for just showing the SpaceX overlay.  It's already been years since we've been able to really "see" a SpaceX launch, except for on NASA's Media Channel.  Now that's gone.  Boo!  And double Boo to SpaceX for continuing to insist on this horrible, intrusive graphic.
