Hello everyone!

Anyone looking to watch NASA TV but rather have more of a choice of stream rate?

I decided to spend a little time playing around with the Yahoo NTV Link as recommended to find other rates. Here are my results!

http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368160 (Modem Speed 30-50)

http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368161 (Higher Speed 100)

http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368162 (Better Quality 200)

http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368163 (Full speed 1200)

That modem speed 30-50 is still coming through high. My cell phone can do anything on the internet and at a good speed, but I'm paying more if it's eating up my allowance.

Is there an even lower version, or maybe just audio? Just something to help me at work :)

http://www.nasa.gov/ntv has audio, as you can imagine - video would be useless below 30K

Sorry guys, worded my last post wrong. Nasa video sidebar works great.

What I should have made more clear was that Vista has some small problems, i.e. software compatability and hardware compatability problems. I had to go out and buy a new scanner that was vista ready. My 'old' scanner was only 2 years old. I also had to get updated programs, that I use through work. I still think vista is a lot better than xp though.

As for finding the nasa tv sidebar addon, check here http://gallery.live.com/results.aspx?c=60&bt=1#32~1~1~en~2~20~3~0~0~

1200k works great here at work with 1Gbit connection, but my 5Mbit home can't play it continuously for more than 10 seconds, then stops for buffering for 5 sec.

Anyone else having problems with NASA tv today. I can only get it to work on the nasa.gov site. When I click other viewing options it stops my internet working. Tried other NTV links as well, no joy.

Yes I had problems with Window media.  Searched NASA TV and came up with Yahoo NASA TV and it opened.

I get the audio but the video is just stills. Tried different .rm links.

Hope it's just temporary.

It's working fine for me.  I've had this happen to me before when having network problems.  For instance, a modem that needs to be power cycled.

I've been having problems with NASA TV on my computer for quite a while now. Ever since the installation of the Columbus module on STS-122, my computer couldn't play the live feeds. I thought at first it could be my internet connection, but the other computer in my house was able to play the feed, with no problems. I tried the other codecs from Windows Media, like Real Player and Quicktime, and they too didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas? I apologize if this question has been answered already, and if it was, please refer me to the appropriate link. Thanks.

Also on a side note, I just found out that my digital TV provider is going to provide NASA TV for the first time, come April! :)

Received a reply to my enquiry to Dish Network about NASA TV HD: they add programs to their HD line-up based on interest levels. So, everyone on Dish Network, please take a moment to go to their web site and put in a request for the NASA TV HD!
It's all in the data.

Any thoughts on NASA TV inclusion in various countries Freeview digital TV ? ESA has its own channel on satellite but I don't think it's at all like NASA TV. I'm thinking of approaching UK Space agency and ESA to try and encourage them to put NASA TV on the Freeview channels. With NASA TV covering the ISS international effort, paid from various countries taxes, this is exactly where it should be. There is already one public service channel on UK Freeview.

Of course it is available over the internet but that can quickly use up my ISP fair use agreement.
