Waiting for news from Xichang...
…and on this side of China the old rocket went off without a hitch, it’s indeed LM-2D launching YG-36 Group 04 at 18:25 UTC.
🚀The 15th Long March 2D in 2022, #CZ2D-Y80, lifted off from Xichang LC#3 at ~18:25UTC on DEC.14, successfully delivering 4th group of three Yaogan-36 satellites into orbit.
📹The moment of Long March 2D Y80 lifting off from Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The press release says this is the last launch of Yaogan-36 launch this year but didn't say if it's the last CZ2D. Maybe more 2D in the remaining two weeks of 2022?
I'm not sure if this is the correct way to make the collage of Yaogan-35 & 36 mission patches. At lease, it seems two more Yaogan-36 launches are needed to make a hexagon, together with the bottom four.(And, the current collage looks like a sailboat⛵️)
[🔴China’s 61st launch in 2022] At UTC 18:25 Dec 14, Yaogan 36 remote sensing satellites were successfully launched by CZ2D rocket at Xichang, Sichuan. It’s also the 455th launch of Long March rocket family. HD: buff.ly/3HEhiiS
The expected 5 objects from today's Yaogan 36-04 launch have been cataloged in a 490 x 502 km x 35.0 deg orbit (3 payloads, upper stage, adapter)
