Any particular reason for conducting today's test, with this first stage?

I wondered at the LV being brought to the pad a day earlier than is now normal.  Now I know why.

Very curious on why this flight gets a static fire.  Maybe they changed some pad hardware they want to test, or they are changing something in the countdown and want to verify it.
Starship, Vulcan and Ariane 6 have all reached orbit.  New Glenn, well we are waiting!

Spaceflight now broadcast said they didn't know why there was a static fire for this launch. However they did mention that they had heard that if 3 or more engines were changed that would be a reason for doing a static fire.

I have no idea if we have any information on engines being changed.

Perhaps this is related to the abort/scrub/fail/omg thing that delayed the Vandenburg flight for a day.  Something they swapped out maybe.

My guess, and it is only a guess, would be engine replacements on B1062 after its GTO+ launch of Nilesat 301.  The abort at Vandenberg this week was run of the mill "vanilla".  I don't see it being a reason.

SpaceX is targeting Sunday, July 24 for a Falcon 9 launch of 53 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The instantaneous launch window is at 9:38 a.m. ET (13:38 UTC), and a backup opportunity is available on Monday, July 25 at 9:16 a.m. ET (13:16 UTC).

The first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched GPS III Space Vehicle 04, GPS III Space Vehicle 05, Inspiration4, Ax-1, Nilesat 301, and two Starlink missions. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage will return to Earth and land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

A live webcast of this mission will begin about five minutes prior to liftoff.
