2 Albapods, 6 PocketQubes, 2 Unicorns, lets go! SpaceX Falcon 9 is stacked, lift off in approx 24hrs@AlbaOrbital
📢Ready for launch! Our 12th ION is ready to lift off aboard @SpaceX Falcon 9 on the #Transporter9 mission from Space Launch Complex 4 (SLC-4). The 55-minute launch window opens on Nov. 11 at 10:49 a.m. PT (6:49 p.m. UTC). Live webcast 👉 https://spacex.com/launches/mission/?missionId=transporter-9Credits: SpaceX
We are very happy to share that our spacevan™ has been successfully integrated onboard SpaceX Transporter-9! 🚀
Our 9th Transporter launch with SpaceX is just around the corner (launching NET November), and the 3 #satellites aboard we manufactured for our customers show the size diversity of #smallsats:🛰️ The 6U "NinjaSat" for RIKEN and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. is the size of a shoebox with a mass of around 10kg. Yet, it will study tiny black holes and supernovae known for their space-time-bending heaviness.🛰️ The 16U high-resolution nanosatellite for PROMÉTHÉE Earth Intelligence is the size of a microwave weighing nearly 30kg. All that mass will deliver 1.5-meter resolution imagery in 7 spectral bands for Promethee's data platform.🛰️ The washing machine-sized MP42 #microsatellite weighing well over 100kg will put its weight into demonstrating our undisclosed customer technologies in orbit.
Are there any non-twitter based live streams of this launch? That is referring to you SpaceX. Return to the YouTube live streams.
SpaceX is set to launch the Transporter-9 rideshare mission from SLC-4E at Vandenberg. The 55-minute launch window opens at 10:49 AM PST (18:49 UTC). nasaspaceflight.com/2023/11/transp… - by Danny Lentz.Falcon 9 will be releasing 90 spacecraft, some of which are orbital transfer vehicles (OTVs) carrying an additional 23 satellites for later deployment. This includes an OTV from Tom Mueller’s Impulse Space, the former head of propulsion at SpaceX.
Any company’s first launch of their product is always an incredible feat. But for Impulse, ours is a little more special because of the journey it took to get here. We moved into a new 55,000 sq ft facility in Redondo Beach in March of 2023... (1/6)The building was an old furniture warehouse and was the farthest thing from a space factory. The final epoxy wasn’t even laid yet, but there was no choice, the 7,000 sq ft facility in El Segundo was incapable of supporting 50+ employees, machining equipment & engine testing (2/6)On top of this, just 2 months before in January, Mira, our 1st vehicle, wasn’t even designed yet. Not only did the Impulse team renovate an entire building and make it space-ready, but we designed, built, tested and shipped a vehicle within ~6 months (3/6)We also had to finalize a Series-A raise in an economy that has been less than ideal. We also doubled in size and now sit at over 85 full-time employees. On the eve of launch, it’s important to look back and reflect on the incredible hard work, (4/6)hours, rigor & sweat that the Impulse team has put in and how we got to this point. Building an incredible team is half the battle; but execution is the rest of it. And that starts this weekend. (5/6)To the employees shown below, and those not, thank you for your incredible efforts to get us to this point. Tune in on November 11th at 10:47am PT to see Transporter-9 lifting off out of Vandenberg. Go Impulse!
F9/Transporter-9: This will be the 82nd Falcon-family launch this year and the 280th overall; booster B1071 is making its 10th flight; a successful return-to-launch-site landing will be the 13th in California and SpaceX's 244th overall
F9/Transporter-9 (correction): 1st stage booster B1071 is making its 12th flight, not 10th
