You want to be inspired by things. You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great. That's what being a spacefaring civilization is all about. It's about believing in the future and believing the future will be better than the past. And I can't think of anything more exciting than being out there among the stars.

At that time almost no one taken the SpaceX goals from Musk without a laugh, 2 decades later there are still (plenty) of those people. Maybe even the same one as in 2002 but changing subjects

My parents was just being born when the Apollo program is over. Why we are still stuck in this stagnation, let's go forward again

One of the phenomenal items is the corporate valuation. In 2002 it was significantly less than $1B. In 2022 it is greater than $100B. A significantly greater than 10,000% gain in valuation in 20 years. A $1M investment in 2002 is now worth significantly more than $100M!!!

Can you say the company is successful?

Happy Birthday SpaceX!

Amazing to watch the compound growth and capability of this leading disrupter.
Starship, Vulcan and Ariane 6 have all reached orbit.  New Glenn, well we are waiting!

Happy 20th SpaceX 🚀
At the 10th, I brought this poster to the Apollo astronauts to gather their sentiments in person. They were effusive in their praise and excitement for a SpaceX mission to Mars.

Given how much SpaceX has accomplished in 20 years, the next 20 will be amazing!

Congratulations, SpaceX!

I've been following you diligently since 2005 ("Kwajalein Atoll and Rockets"), and it's been a helluva ride.

There are many other players in "space," older and newer.  I applaud all of them.  But you have been the ultimate Disrupter, in the most positive sense.  It has been good for the industry.

Thanks.

The difference one bad valve or actuator could have made on F1 flight 4. What would the state of things be now?

Just to think if they could have accounted for Stage 1 drift for F1-3, launched F1-4 as full mission instead of mass simulator. and had F1-5 & 6 Launch from Vandenburg. I think they would have continued F1 until F9 1.1 was ready, which was a full year after CRS-3.

F1-5 was a successful commercial mission with Razaksat. It didn't really help the F1 case. Spending company resources on the F1 wouldn't have helped much once they had the COTS contract.

2023 on Pi day will be SpaceX’s 21st birthday and ought to be a great time to celebrate it’s becoming mature, not too soon to start planning for events.

Not for me. Since it’ll be Pi Day, I’ll stick with my favorite flavor: pecan.
