It's been two weeks since the historic inaugural flight of the Ariane 6, and this just in - we received the video from our friends at #YPSat of our CubeSats being deployed! 🚀Take a look as the @Exolaunch deployer first releases ³Cat-4, then ISTSat-1 into orbit. Both of these CubeSats are built by European university students as a part of ESA Education's Fly Your Satellite! programme.🛰️ Built by students from Portugal’s Instituto Superior Técnico, @ISTSat_One will test new technology for tracking aircraft, using key subsystems developed by the team.🛰️ ³Cat-4 @nanosatlabupc was developed by students at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Spain. It carries three experiments to measure important climate variables. Both CubeSats have since received beacons and the teams are working to assess how to proceed. We hope to provide an update on mission statuses soon! Are we the only ones who get a little Star Trek feeling of seeing these being deployed into orbit? 🌌🛰️Thanks YPSat for capturing this amazing footage! We can't wait to see more of your results in the next weeks. 👨🚀#ISTSat1 #3Cat4 #FlyYourSatellite #ESAEducation #Ariane6
