The initial stage of factory control tests of manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-22 was completed at the S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia control and testing station (part of Roskosmos State Corporation). Today, on December 7, 2021, the spacecraft left for the Baikonur Cosmodrome to continue routine training.

This fall the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft underwent in full the program of autonomous tests of onboard systems and units. Further electrical tests of service equipment of the spacecraft with test activation of radio systems of rendezvous and docking, motion control and navigation, digital television and telemetry completed the firmware operation of the onboard electronic computer. After completion of comprehensive, pneumovacuum and acceptance tests Soyuz MS-22 passed the output control procedure and was prepared for shipment to the spaceport by rail.

The launch of Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with Soyuz MS-22 manned spacecraft under the program of delivery of the 68th long-term expedition participants to the ISS is scheduled for September next year.

Scheduled to launch on 21 September 2022, specifically.

Kikina can break the record for Russian women in space [dated Sept. 26]

Quote
The only woman in the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, Anna Kikina, in 2023 can set a national female record for being in space, follows from the flight program of the International Space Station, which is at the disposal of RIA Novosti.

Earlier it was reported that Kikina's flight to the ISS is planned for the fall of 2022.

According to the program, the Russian woman will fly on the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft on September 21, 2022 and will stay on the ISS for 188 days until March 18, 2023.

At present, the Russian female record for being in space belongs to Elena Kondakova, who made two flights on the Mir orbital station with a total duration of 178 days. At the same time, the world record for staying in space is held by the American Peggy Whitson, who flew 666 days in three expeditions to the ISS.

Looks like Anna Kikina has been moved to Crew-5 as part of the seat barter agreement:

Rogozin reports via Twitter that Anna Kikina will be joining Crew-5 in Fall 2022:

Was there already someone at NASA earmarked for Crew-5 who would be transferred to Soyuz MS-22.

Was there already someone at NASA earmarked for Crew-5 who would be transferred to Soyuz MS-22.
Roscosmos announced the intent to fly a single Roscosmos cosmonaut on every crew dragon starting with Crew 5 as they are happy with the achieved performance and safety with the certified Dragon vehicle. Roscosmos will not fly on Starliner until further notice. A USOS astronaut will be assigned to the third Soyuz seat except in certain circumstances.

Maybe Loral O’Hara could take the third seat since she was training with the Soyuz-MS 21 crew. Might as well let her fly on this mission.

Actually, there is nothing strange:
Nikolai did visit occupied Crimea - without Ukrainian visa. This makes him subject for US sanctions.

Roscosmos commented on the US refusal to issue a visa to cosmonaut Chub.

Roskosmos: US visa refusal to Chuba calls into question the safety of his flight to the ISS.

11:38 01/22/2022 (updated: 14:39 01/22/2022)

MOSCOW, January 22 - RIA Novosti. The refusal to issue a US visa to Nikolai Chub threatens the safety of the Russian cosmonaut's mission to the International Space Station, the Roscosmos press service told reporters.

"The situation that has arisen calls into question the very safety of the Russian cosmonaut's stay on the ISS and the safety of the American segment of the station due to the unpreparedness of the Russian cosmonaut in the event of an emergency," the release says.

Traditionally, all Russian members of the expedition are trained at the Johnson Space Center, just like astronauts from the United States are trained in Russia .

"Without lectures and practical exercises on the layout of the American segment, getting acquainted with the operation of its systems, understanding the interaction between the systems of the American and Russian segments, as well as taking a course on actions in an emergency, it is basically impossible to fly into space," the state corporation added.

It is noted that no one will send an untrained crew into space. Therefore, the organizers will at least have to change the training schedule for Nikolai Chub .

Nikolai Chub joined the Russian detachment in 2012, he should go into space for the first time. Earlier it was reported that, together with experienced cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko and another newcomer Andrey Fedyaev, they will form the crew of the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft, which will depart for the station in the spring of 2023.

As a result, American visas for our cosmonauts Nikolai Chub and Anna Kikina were obtained. Something like this. Thanks to our journalists for their support!

So much for sanctions!  ::)

MOSCOW, June 7 - RIA Novosti. The next launches of Soyuz rockets from the Baikonur Cosmodrome will take place in August and September this year, RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the Progress Rocket and Space Center (RKC), where these rockets are manufactured.

"Further launches of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle from the Baikonur Cosmodrome are scheduled for August and September 2022," the press service said.

What spacecraft will be launched into orbit is not specified.
