Iran's Chabahar space center
« on: 11/27/2021 08:01 am »
Diorama of Chabahar future Iranian space launch complex, presented to Iran's president Raisi. Note 5 (!) launch pads - each with mobile tower, all in (all to) close proximity. Also note new launcher and ship for delivery of equipment.

Previously, the construction of the Chabahar space center was supposed to be the responsibility of ISA, but now it seems that it is the responsibility of the space group of the Ministry of Defense.
I think it's the right thing to do. Because the previous launch pads in Iran in Semnan were made by the same group.

Thanks Ehsan27. I don't think India would be happy to have Iranian rockets fly over their territory for the 45° launch trajectory.

The main purpose of Chabahar Space Center seems to be 98 ° LEO and geosynchronous orbit.

I would guess that the actual distance between each structures are not to scale.
