Contacted the FAA about the mixed messages and got this response from an agency spokesperson: “We will continue working with SpaceX to resolve outstanding safety issues before we approve the next test flight.” Similar to what they said yesterday.

Interesting Next NEXT PLANNING WEBINAR: 1615Z
Previous Advisery 016 had NEXT PLANNING WEBINAR: 1415Z and published 1425Z Advisory 022

Road open, security to the pad.

Have patience everyone, this thing WILL launch at some point, and that’s worth keeping a positive mindset over :)

By Christian Davenport at WashingtonPost:
What’s holding up the next test of SpaceX’s Starship? Elon Musk blames the FAA.
A person with knowledge of the FAA’s thinking said the agency is working feverishly to approve the flight

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2021/01/28/elon-musk-spacex-starship-faa/
Quote
An official with knowledge of the FAA’s thinking pushed back against Musk’s allegations and said the agency had been in constant contact with SpaceX over the flight and was very close to issuing the modification to the license required for the flight.

The agency is “not purposefully slowing the process down,” said the person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal processes. The FAA has “a responsibility to the American people and particularly those who live in the southern Texas area to make sure they are not put at undue risk.”

New road closures for Starship SN9 flight Mon-Wed. High winds Monday, Tuesday looks ideal with light variable wind and sunny skies.

Hearing that the earliest for SpaceX SN9 flight is Tuesday, pending FAA approval. Which matches what @nextspaceflight reported re road closures in Boca Chica. Also hearing FAA has spent the weekend working to get license approved.

I got a highly informative message regarding flight tomorrow that basically said "We're working on it".
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
