The WB-57 flight plan has been updated:

To clarify, departure is now scheduled NET 2:12 pm, a 12-minute delay. Should arrive on-station around 3:10 pm if that's the case.

It appears that NASA is using the DyNAMITE system to film SpaceX missions.

See https://airbornescience.nasa.gov/flight_reports/WB-57_927_07_14_14 (a previous mission to film reentry of a F9 using DyNAMITE, with resulting image included in https://www.hou.usra.edu/meetings/lpsc2015/pdf/2087.pdf ).

Some nice pictures of DyNAMITE on the nose of the WB-57 in the article at http://warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-news/nasa-wb-57-chase-totality-great-american-eclipse.html -- I'm not attaching those because they are pictures from AV8PIX (Jack Beyer would be jealous!).

"The optical instrument is a 13 primary telescope called the Day Night Airborne Motion Imagery for Terrestrial Environments (DyNAMITE), gimbal mounted on the nose cone of the WB-57. DyNAMITE is a full motion, two independent co-bore sighted system, with a visible color HD video camera system, combined with a mid-wave (3-5 μm bolometer) infrared videocamera. The gimbal has a pointing stability of < 5 μRad @ 20 Hz RMS."

Clearer view. Top left flap is still strapped down for some reason.
