Is there any documentation regarding this satellite or payload?
DRTS-FO > DRTS-2           > JDRS-1
Data relay satellite for IGS >

Would it operate from geostationary orbit, inclined GSO, or an Molniya High Earth Orbit (HEO), like some of the SDS/Quasar satellites do?

Hmm....per local news it's November 29, not October. See the link below which mentions launching on the 29th "next month".
