Falcon 9 auto abort at T-30 seconds. Rocket and payload are in good health—teams are working toward tomorrow’s 69-minute launch window opening at 7:06 p.m. ET
Commentator says this was an auto-abort. Will try again tomorrow.End of webcast.
Abort at T-30 seconds was triggered by flight computer. Higher than expected first stage cryohelium decay. Will investigate that and set up for 24 hour recycle.
SCRUB. SpaceX has called off tonight's launch at Cape Canaveral after the Falcon 9 rocket's on-board computer detected a higher than expected decay rate in the first stage helium system. The next launch opportunity is tomorrow at 7:06pm EDT (2306 GMT).spaceflightnow.com/2022/10/06/fal…
What does "cryohelium decay" mean? Haven't heard of that term before.
Tiny helium leak (just barely triggered abort), but we take no risks with customer satellites. Standing down to investigate.
