On June 6, 1961, the USSR issued two stamps remembering the role played by dogs in space exploration before Gagarin's flight.

On June 21, 1961, the USSR issued a stamp celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Soviet meteorological service. On the stamp you can see a small weather rocket.

More commemorations of Gagarin's flight. On June 22, 1961, Czechoslovakia issued two stamps.

Bulgaria issued this stamp on June 28, 1961. It celebrates the launch of the first announced Venera mission.

A nice stamp from Bulgaria, honoring some space dogs, Strelka, Chernushka, Zvezdochka and Belka. It was issued on June 29, 1961.

Suriname issued on June 30, 1961 the first stamps showing Alan Shepard's mission. They also celebrated Gagarin's flight.

And now the Titov's flight. The USSR issued two stamps on August 8, 1961. Of course, the design of the rocket remains very "artistic".

The commemorative stamp of the 22nd Communist Party Congress (USSR), issued on September 16, 1961, included the image of a rocket flying into space.

The USSR issued a stamp on October 17, 1961, praising the national communist party. We can see a space rocket on it.
