A rocket on the stamp celebrating the 44th anniversary of the Great October Revolution. It was issued on November 4, 1961 by the USSR.

1962 began with three stamps issued on February 1st, from Albania, commemorating the mission of Yuri Gagarin.

When John Glenn was launched in his Mercury capsule, Togo reissued two stamps in March celebrating his flight with a special overprint.

This Soviet stamp seems to be dedicated to the Kosmos 3 mission. It was published on April 29, 1962.
