You do realize that the webcast is a favor for the geeks of the world and not much else?
... and all those space crazy enough to see a new rocket succeed.

... and investors ;)

Hrm.  I forgot about investors.

But...  geeks of the world are different from the space crazy how? :P

braddock - 19/3/2007  5:25 PM  I heard "helium pump aborted".

A poor choice of wording during a countdown, but I think they just meant they stopped the pump.  "Helium pump stopped" would be safer.

I think that "helium pump abort" had to do with the end of the propellant loading

The launch crew on the web cast:

launch site director on webcase is Sharon Hurst on Kwaj.
Propellant loading comment by Jeremy Holdin (sp).
"LD" = Launch director - Tim
"Launch Controller" = Anne Chinnery "pushes the buttons and moves the mouse"

The clock on the webcast appears to be ~ 1min slower than official UTC....is this a purposeful delay?

I think SpaceX install their own cameras. The maiden flight cut to an onboard view at T+8.

According to the 16 March update, there are 2 cameras on the vehicle.

That poor girl trying to keep up with the countdown. Reminds me of the "Talker" they use for Delta.
:)

Gonna shut up now for the launch. Go Falcon!
