Wind is only 13 knots on the surface, not enough to blow all of that stuff around with the same angle of deflection...gotta be a data or camera issue.

They haven't flight rules ?

They have plenty.  I believe I read that they increased the number of available launch aborts by a factor of 30 since the last attempt last March.  They won't fly unless they're sure they're good to go.

NASA has done "waivers" before, so perhaps we might see one here from SpaceX.

Space launches attended:
Antares/Cygnus ORB-D1 Wallops Island, VA Sept 2013 | STS-123 KSC, FL March 2008 | SpaceShipOne Mojave, CA June 2004

Was asking that because I had the impression that they were scratching their collective head wondering if they can fly without connectivity with El Segundo

I'm on the call now.
Q: Space.com question: I'm curious about the data analysis part which will follow this launch.  Do you have a review shcedule in place?  ... what is that process?
A: Well, there is no question that we will do a very detailed analysis of the data.  We will be looking at the space craft environment, that the acoustic environemtn for the payload will be as we anticipated we would be.  We will be recovering the first stage ...  I think it is worth noting that recovery is required if we will be reusing the elements, but recovery is also required if you want to judge the performance of your system. [...]

We'll look at the payload environment.  We'll look over with a microscope the first stage we'll get back.  [...]  Basically a very detailed scrub of the data.  We did that after the...uh...maiden flight, and the more you look the more you learn.

Q: Daily breeze: You have $400 million in orders now?
A: That's correct..about 400 million.
[..]
Q: Those five orders since demo 1, how many were they?
A: Well, three of the five were COTS, so that's $2xx million.  [fourth we can't discuss]  and I can't remember what the fifth one was...[will have to check].

My feed looks okay...looks like a cloud is currently blocking the sun, so the rocket is in shade.

We're going to have to be patient with the webcast, as it's likely getting hammered.

They only got 5,000 people watching it last time

Mmmmm... this lack of info so close to the planned launch is driving me mad :)

Good luck for today, SpaceX!
