Omnispace acquires ITU rights of New ICO successor to ICO Global Communications Ltd for future 3GPP Constellation. TAS is the Primary and Nanoavionics bus supplier. The initial two sats are pathfinders and have been ordered ahead of committing to the full constellation.

The original ITU rights for ICO (later purchased by Omnispace) were S-band though. Apparently 3GPP Nb-IoT is expected to use LTE (typically in frequencies already in use by a carrier or using some bandwidth in the guard bands), or allowed to exist in dedicated spectrum, so I guess they are thinking of doing Nb-IoT in S-band then? That's dedicated equipment though unless you are using SDR gear...

The marketing fluff is heavy of the 5G buzzwords and not much else.

Both bands will be separate products. 5G and newer will come later. Sats will have reprogrammable hardware to expand and retire frequencies and bands as needed. Not to much other info. They also acquired the rights to the unlaunched BSS-601 sats in the ICO purchase however Boeing later stated that BSS-601 was no longer available for commercial orders so they would have buy 702 family models but chose to go a different path. The one predecessor sat on orbit they have maintained to keep the spectrum and perform experiments.
