Well at least they're good at building mockups :)

Not put some water engines, and the bottle rocket is ready!

Their coordinated jackets could make them money as merchandise.

Hello! In August we will test the first Romanian strategic weapon.

I'm Dumitru Popescu, ARCA's President and yes, I'm afraid of a nuclear war and of the escalation from Romania's border.

ARCA has foreseen the unfortunate evolution of this conflict, and in the past year we've developed the A1, a defensive, anti-nuclear missile.

I'm announcing that this strategic weapon will be tested in August.

The A1 is an anti-ballistic interceptor, developed from private sources, a product that gathered interest from two NATO militaries and one from the Gulf Area.

We defend Romania, we defend Europe!

Gotta love the "Men in Black" look filmed in front of an out-of-focus government-style office building.  8)

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine - however, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are
going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead.

another update:

AA1, the successor to the Pebble Curtain anti-ballistic system

Quote
Jun 12, 2024
For the validation of the A1 solution, we used data from the American Pebble Curtain strategic anti-nuclear system intended for the defense of MX ICBM silos, an anti-ballistic program closed at the protest of the USSR in the 80s, during the Reagan administration. The A1 warhead consists of 10 tons of projectiles that are released into the path of enemy missiles. Impacting enemy missiles with these projectiles, at hypersonic speed, destroys the missiles before they reach the defended objective. The development of the A1 strategic anti-ballistic system corresponds to ARCA's policy of exclusively producing defensive, non-lethal weapons, with revenues allocated to the development of the civilian AMi Exploration and EcoRocket programs. www.ecorocket.space

Hello, I'm Dumitru Popescu, archer President.

I admit, we've used data from the US strategic Pebble Curtain anti-ballistic system, to defend the MX's ICBM silos,
a program that was closed on Soviet pressure in the '80s, during the Reagan administration.
However, the A1 strategic interceptor is different.

It uses a 10-tonne warhead, the heaviest ever mounted on an antiballistic missile.

This warhead contains projectiles that are released in the path of enemy missiles.

The impact of the enemy missiles with the projectiles, at hypersonic speed, leads to the missiles' destruction, before being able to reach the defended area. ARCA will perform a test with this strategic weapon in August. We defend Romania, we defend Europe!

Hence why every time Arca are faced with the unacceptable tragedy of actually delivering something, they immediately drop all work on it and pivot to a new shiny bauble to glitter enticingly at any remaining credulous investors. The whole EcoRocket thing has been swiftly brushed under the rug (along with Haas, Haas 2, IAR-111, AirStrato, Stabilo, the Executor engine, the Venator engine...).

Mission 18, EcoRocket, the most cost effective rocket technology in the world

Quote

Jul 6, 2024
ARCA executed the third launch with the CER-160TR, artillery target rocket that is using the EcoRocket ecological and extremely cost effective rocket propulsion technology.
The launch was performed during the military homologation process for the 160mm caliber rocket, aiming to improve the training of anti-missile forces.
The launch was recorded as Mission 18. This launch was executed at only two hours after Mission 17, from the same launch canister establishing a new premiere for ARCA, with two launches in the same day.
The fourth launch of the CER-160TR rocket is scheduled for September 2024.
The CER-160TR rocket costs 19,900 Euro and a civilian version it is also commercially available.
The development of the CER-160TR product is in line with ARCA's policy of producing exclusively defensive, non-lethal weapons, with the proceeds being allocated to the development of the civilian AMi Exploration and EcoRocket programs.

...aiming to improve the training of anti-missile forces....

...ARCA's policy of producing exclusively defensive, non-lethal weapons...

You know, if they're exclusively launching targets for the actual missiles to practice shooting down, that....may be a reasonable usage of their steam rocket "technology"? It's been previously discussed that they need time to bring the water past boiling, so it's not appropriate for actual missiles, and of course it's nowhere near powerful enough for an orbital vehicle, but if they're just lobbing suborbital targets (or even suborbital research, maybe)...

Of course, this is ARCA, they're not going to just come out and say "we're pivoting the company towards accomplishing tasks that we're actually capable of," they're going to claim this is a mere stepping-stone on the way towards tasks they're entirely incapable of.

They're lucky if they got a whole kilometer of range out of that toy.

Notice they never show anything other than the first couple of seconds? I'll bet that's because the rocket runs out of steam just after it goes out of frame. Like Cantrell's videos, but even worse.

Please note that the individuals standing next to the launch stand wear green and dark clothing. It wouldn't surprise me if the missile doesn't even make it to the coast but drops back, gets cleaned up, recharged, and then relaunched for both of these videos.  If it wasn't for the third green-clothed individual in the second picture, I would have said that both mission videos were from the same launch.

Additionally, the interceptor one can strike state-of-the-art hypersonic missiles. Despite its military nature, this missile does not pollute; it produces only water vapor and oxygen.

Looks like they are using HTP for the propellant.

Have they gone full circle?
