And again posted by Shams on the manned flight section of the NK forum ( http://www.novosti-kosmonavtiki.ru/phpBB2/ ) about the cosmonaut corps:

Quote

Web translation:
"Sad news.
April 5, 2012 decision of the Chief Medical Commission (GMK) Valkov found not fit to special training for health reasons. Based on this decision, he may be dismissed from the cosmonaut corps.
Doctors have serious claims to Ponomarev. Chances are that it is also present at the expulsion from the squad."

Only to say that K.Valkov was previously scheduled to fly with the recently docked Soyuz TMA-04M, but later was grounded and replaced with Revin.

Design and description of the emblem of the 2010 cosmonaut team.

The emblem of the fifteenth team of TsPK (seventeenth of RSC "Energia") cosmonauts of 2010, reflects these numbers in the shape of the lattice structure in the transfer compartment of the ship "Soyuz".

The number of the training aircraft was chosen in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the first team of cosmonauts in 1960.
The general shape of the logo represents the fusion of two different mediums of air, surrounding the Earth and space across the border represented by a spectrum showing the colours of the flag of Russia.

The golden integral sign is not only a symbol of the single cosmonaut team established in 2010; it also connects the left side of the composed logo (containing elements of the Cosmonaut Training) and right - the embodiment of space flight.

The spiral structure of this central element renders the idea of the amount of accumulated knowledge and skills necessary for the implementation of successive cycles of training the crew for space flight.

A constellation in the form of an open book (or laptop) represents the studies required for this team on the way from candidates to astronauts.
The colors of the parachute are painted like the canopy of the return capsule - as a symbol of the safe return of crews on Earth.

The Moon, Mars and asteroids represent the long-range goals of manned space exploration. Various technical means used in the preparation of cosmonauts and depicted on the emblem, and also show the wide-ranging specialties of the seven would-be astronauts (pilot, paratrooper, engineer, designer, tester, researcher).

The motto translates from Latin as "strength in unity" and is a symbol of quantity transforming into quality.

The logo was designed by A.N. Babkin, using imput fromS.V. Kud-Sverchkova, A.M. Khomenchuk, S.V. Prokopyeva, D.V. Matveev, I.V. Wagner and S.A. Morozov.

TsPK news (Google translation), 3 August:

A meeting of the Interdepartmental Qualification Committee (Межведомственной квалификационной комиссии, MVKK) took place at the GCTC to evaluate the 2010 cosmonaut candidates group. The committee included representatives from the Federal Space Agency, Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Energiya, and the Institute of Biomedical Problems. The meeting reviewed documents describing the results of the cosmonaut training program and the results collected from the State exam of the candidates Andrei Babkin, Ivan Vagner, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, Denis Matveev, Svyatoslav Morozov, Sergei Prokop’ev and Alexei Khomenchuk.

The test cosmonaut candidates passed a set of positive evaluations in their 2010 State exam. Based on the documents reviewed and the results of the discussion the Committee decided:

•Assign the “test cosmonaut” qualification to candidates Prokop’ev, Matveev, Kud-Sverchkov, Vagner

•Re-consider the “test cosmonaut” qualification for candidates Babkin, Morozov after the successful completion of certain types of training courses OCP.

•Re-consider the “test cosmonaut” qualification for candidate Khomenchuk at the commission meeting in October 2012.

At the end of the meeting MVKK chief Sergei Konstantinovich Krikalev congratulated the former cosmonaut candidates with qualification certificates and handed them to the test cosmonaut. In the near future will be the appointment of cosmonaut candidates Vagner, Matveev, Kud-Sverchkov and Prokop’ev to post-test cosmonauts.

Dmitri Kondratiev is no longer a cosmonaut...

Quote

Main Medical Comission solution on September 26, 2012 Svatoslav Morozov found not fit to special training for health reasons. On this basis, he will be deducted from the cosmonaut corps. Babkin and Khomenchuk seems this month will be qualified as a test cosmonaut according to Shams info from NK forum.

A (silly?) question. How this new 2012 group will be named:

Tspk 16  ..... or could we name it FGBU 1 for ФГБУ "НИИ ЦПК имени Ю.А. Гагарина"?

I think we remain with "ЦПК" so "TsPK"

The FGBU prefix means only that TsPK is a Federal State-owned Budget-financed organization. No need to retreat from the TsPK designation.

On November 12, the MVKK assigned the Test Cosmonaut qualification to Andrei Babkin.

http://www.gctc.ru/main.php?id=1728

The overall picture of the 2010 selection:
Ivan Vagner, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, Denis Matveev, Sergei Prokopyev and Andrei Babkin are in,

Svyatoslav Morozov and Aleksei Khomenchuk are out.

So now, there are 35 cosmonauts in the corps.

Because I can´t read it, has someone a short summary of this?

On 12 October 2012 the two Kazakh cosmonauts were officially awarded the title of “Cosmonaut of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.  However, it is not explained in the article what the relevance of this move is.

One of them should have flown in September 2009, but in April 2009 Kazakhstan decided to cancel the mission because of financial issues.

After the cancellation of the flight Aimbetov returned to Kazakhstan, where he initially worked for the Kazakh Space Agency (headed by Talgat Musabayev). Currently he is employed at the Sultangazin Institute for Space Studies, where he is the deputy head of a department. He also teaches at a school for young cosmonauts opened in Astana in the spring of 2012.

Aimakhanov graduated from the Russian Presidential Academy of the National Economy and Public Administration in Moscow in 2010. He works at at the Vavilov Institute for the History of Science and Technology in Moscow (headed by Yuri Baturin), where he is working on a PhD.

Both are said to be holding out hope that they will eventually make a mission  and are “undertaking certain efforts to return to training”.
