September 5, 2007 - S.P.Korolev RSC Energia, Korolev, Moscow region
http://www.energia.ru/english/index.html

"Cosmonaut tester of the S.P.Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation cosmonaut team Michail Borisovich Kornienko, upon his return to Moscow after climbing mountain Kilimanjaro (5895 meters high) as a member of a team of three mountaineers, was received by the Head of the Federal Space Agency A.N.Perminov.
M.B.Kornienko accomplished this climb while being on vacation. On the highest peak of Africa he left one copy of the Roskosmos commemorative badge and planted the flag of S.P.Korolev RSC Energia.
The second copy of that badge that had been to the top of Kilimanjaro, M.B.Kornienko handed over to the Head of Roskosmos.
A.N.Perminov pointed out the high level of preparedness of the cosmonaut tester for working in extreme conditions, which allowed him, the only one of the whole team, to overcome the difficulties of the climb in its final phase"

A new version.
I have modified the rows so I can write till 10 missions (I’m really expectant with the 6-crew capability of the ISS !!).

All data is a compilation of info provided in various threads of this forum.
One addition: the tail number of the spaceship.
The crews of  the last Soyuzes are not in training.  So the MKS groups are really formed as Anik posted.

I have noted that the gap between launches of TM-14 and TM-15 (ISS crew #19A and 19B), and TM-16 and TM-17 (ISS crew #20A and 20B) will be only  ~1 - 2 months.
I suppose this is because this allow more time to work together.   TM-14 crew will land after the launch of TM-16, this imply a 6 months stay with a ~4 - 5 months work of the crew of the same expedition. Correct?

An old question.  I’d like to know what is the RANK (P4 column) of the
"Cosmonaut's Detachments and Groups" sheet. Is it a sort of military rank, or time in the cosmonaut’s group, or…?

And as always, if anybody find a mistake, please let me know.

Regards

"Class", not "rank"!  3,2,1 are proficiency classes for cosmonauts, as well as “military pilot 1 class”, “test-pilot 1 class” etc.

Do cosmonauts get to choose where they want to go for rehabilitation - or is it the same place every time? (Am somewhat confused - I have a section about this on a page at my site - the destinations seem to keep changing!)

I have a question concerning organisation of Russian Cosmonauts Corps.

In the past, cosmonauts were classified by groups. Example : Tsibliev was in "TsPK-8". I am aware that this kind of designation is not an official one, but thanks to it it was easy to identify cosmonauts groups.

But nowadays, selection process seem to have changed.
For example, the last selection of cosmonauts was not a VVS one, or an Energuia one. It was a big group with people from different origins (VVS, Energuia, IMBP, etc.)

So, my question is :
Is it still a good idea to classify cosmonauts using the "old" system ?

Yes, in my opinion, because we have not the united detachment of cosmonauts for now...

So, for example, selection of cosmonauts in 2003 was 13th for GCTC, 15th for RSC Energia and 6th for IMBP...
