I said many times that Kaleri is preparing to flight on the first modernized Soyuz TMA. If the launch of this spacecraft is postponing then Aleksandr's flight is delaying too. So he is in Expedition 25/26 now.

Anik - does this change mean that the whole crew would change, or just the commanders, so that Kaleri is still assigned to the 'new' Soyuz.

Surely if they change the whole crew, and sequence in which different crews fly, then the mix of ISS Expedition crews changes too. It's difficult to see ths happening, as the balance of NASA/ESA/JAXA/Russian etc. crew members seems to be contracted and agreed yearsd ahead.

With a delay of two launches for TMA-01M, the logical move seems to be a swap of the entire crew.
Scott Kelly (TMA-18 FE backup), Kondratyev (TMA-15 CDR backup), and Skripochka (TMA-16 FE backup), will be all free of their backup jobs after the TMA-16 launch, for a swap with Kaleri’s crew.  This move also suppose do not disband any crew.
The balance will remain unchanged (2 Russians+1 US on each Soyuz) and the only concern could be the change in the ISS CDRs sequence (US for Russia) but I think it’s a minor problem because two flights after, is the other way round.

In the “Schedule of ISS flight events” thread, however, Anik has posted as TBD only Kaleri’s seat.

According to the Novosti kosmonavtiki forum Oleg Kotov is now a Deputy Commander of the Cosmonaut group of the TsPK, he is also an instructor-test-cosmonaut.
Sergey Volkov is also named an instructor-test-cosmonaut.

http://tvroscosmos.ru/frm/zhurnal/0309_2.php

It's great to read that she's been so successful with her new career after she was so shabbily treated towards the end of her cosmonaut career.

I've seen her interviewed a few times and she comes across as a terrific person, who would have been a PR dream for the Russian programme. But she followed most of her female cosmonaut colleagues into obscurity..........a victim of the usual gender politics

A brief note in NK news №773 for 1/4 about Cosmonaut Sergei Krikalyov’s latest assignment:

1/4/2009 / 00:05 – Cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev becomes the leader of the civil Astronauts Training Center

The head of the Center of the civilian astronauts will be pilot-cosmonaut Sergei Konstantinovich Krikalyov, who is currently the Deputy General Designer of RSC Energia. All necessary documents were signed this week, said the head of Roscosmos AN Perminov. It was reported by a source in the Russian space industry, says Cyber Security.

Does that mean he replaces Valerii Tsibliev (currently on the TsPK site)?

...Also (I just noticed the date for the FKA announcement) it's not an April Fool's Day joke, is it...?  :o

AFAIK Sergey Krikalev is the head of the new civilian TsPK, which is building up in the next few months, Valeri Tsiblijev is the head of the old military TsPK, which will be closed in the next months.
I hope Andrey can confirm this.

According to the Novosti kosmonavtiki forum from today Valeri Tokarev will come back to the cosmonaut group of the TsPK as an instructor-test-cosmonaut.

What date did TsPK become civilian? (Must have missed that announcement) Also, will military cosmonauts remain so (as NASA ones do)?

The military TsPK still exist. There is a timeframe of 9 months for the transferation from the military to the civilian TsPK, it goes to the end of June.
According to the Novosti Kosmonavtiki forum Gennadi Padalka retired from the Air Force and is now a cosmonaut of the civilian TsPK, maybe also other cosmonauts.

Are Krikalyov and Tokarev eligible for more spaceflights?

In the Schedule of ISS flight events, on April 16th, Anik posted Skvortsov’s seat on TMA-19 as TBD.
What’s the reason? Is related to the TMA-18 CDR’s seat (swap with Kaleri), or not?

-According to the Novosti kosmonavtiki forum (Shams), OKP examinations will be on June 2nd, 2009

There was rumour on Novosti kosmonavtiki forum about possible changes in Russian part of some ISS Expedition crews due to delaying of the first flight of modified Soyuz TMA spacecraft:

Expedition 23/24 - Skvortsov, Kornienko
Expedition 24/25 - Kondratyev
Expedition 25/26 - Kaleri, Skripochka

According to the information we got, Krikalyov is not eligible for future space flights, because he lost his status as test-cosmonaut due to an order of the head of Roscosmos. Tokarev should be eligible, because he is back on this status.

According to the news from yesterday about the examination of the Soyuz TMA15 crew, Yuri Gidzenko is now the First Deputy of the Head of the TsPK, probably the "old military".
