I recently stumbled upon FLYPAST, which as its name suggests is a magazine devoted to aviation history and heritage. The current (November 2019) issue includes a very nice article by Kathleen Hanser on the ‘Mercury 13’, the group of US female pilots (Jerrie Cobb, Wally Funk, Jerri Truhill et al) who were selected for the privately funded Woman in Space Program.
